You choose your newly placed face down GREEN monster for battle. Before both cards are flipped, you may choose if you want to use your red monster or your new face down monster for the battle. So you place a GREEN monster face down behind your red monster in the middle lane. You can bet his face down card is a BLUE monster since he wants to instantly defeat your red monster. Let's say he puts down his monster face down in the middle lane, since he is trying to defeat your red monster. He may now place another monster face down in the middle lane to try to defeat your red monster, or he can place his monster face down in the left or right lane. Now your opponent is first to act in the following round since he lost the battle. Your red monster instantly beats the opposing green monster which is then removed from the field. You revealed your red monster, and the opponent reveals his green monster. Round 1! Both players reveal their starting monsters. The losing player of the previous round is always first to act in the following round. The losing monster is removed from the field. If there is no "Instant Victory" due to colors being the same or for another reason, then the power level on both cards are compared. YELLOW -> PURPLE and you immediately win the entire game. Which colors instantly beat another color: Once Monsters are flipped, and there are monsters in the opposite "lane", the monsters revealed enter battle with each other.
